Obituary

Alan C. Gougé, age 57, of LCO, died Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Benedictine Living Center of Spooner.

Alan "Chink" Charles was born April 16, 1956, in Hayward, the son of Girard "Toy" and Doris (Isham) Gougé. He was a lifelong resident of Skunawong, and attended St. Francis Solanus School in Reserve and Hayward High School. Chink received a welding certificate from WITC Rice Lake and worked for LCO Development Corporation as a carpenter for 20 years. He later was employed at the LCO Food Distribution Center. Chink enjoyed fishing, Green Bay Packers and socializing with friends at the LCO Athletic Club.

He is survived by his son Kyle Gougé of Hayward; brothers Jerry (JoAnn Hium) Gougé of Hudson, WI, James (Kim Milam) Gougé Sr., and Randall Gougé Sr. all of LCO; best friend Louie Nickence; many nephews and nieces.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Mary Beth Thunder, Cecile Ann Gougé, Lois Rae Gougé; brother Willard Roland Gougé Sr.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 4 at St. Francis Solanus Indian Mission in Reserve. Father Gregory Hopefl will officiate with music provided by Sister Felissa Zander. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3 at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward.

Honorary casket bearers will be Sylvia LaRonge and Bob Radka.

Casket bearers will be Brian Gougé, Guy "Tiffy" Hall, John Hall, Louie Nickence, Steve Thayer and Mike Thunder.
