Alannis Alayla-Marie Barragan, age 2 months, of Lac Courte Oreilles, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023.
Alannis was born April 22, 2023, in Hayward, the daughter of Audrey Rizzio and Angelo Barragan. Alannis enjoyed being around her family and was full of smiles. She always lit up the room when she was around.
She is survived by her parents; sisters Zolana & Aluna Barragan; gsrandparents Jacqueline (Habib) Martinson, Jorge Barragan Jr., Lisa Potack-Rathe, Juan Munive-Rodriquez; great grandparents Doris Corbine, Audrey Potack, Sylvia (Miguel) Gomez, Olivia Rodriguez & Marco Naya.
Alannis was preceded in death by her grandfathers Jorge Barragan Sr., Robert Quaderer & Jay Rathe; great grandfather Patrick Martinson; and uncle Luis Ramirez.
Tribal Funeral Rites were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Big Drum Ceremonial Center in Lac Courte Oreilles. Chato "Ombishkebines" Gonzalez officiated. Burial was in New Post Cemetery. Visitation began at 5:00 p.m., Friday, July 14th at Big Drum.
Honorary casket bearers were Rusty Barber, Nicole Barthel, Josiah Bunker, Cassidy Connor, Patsy Crone, Manuel Munive, Marco Munive, Krysten Sullivan, Lexi Sullivan & Mike Sullivan.
Casket bearers were Patrick Martinson, Steven Martinson Sr., Jay Potack & Kevin Potack.
