Anthony William
Woller
May 19, 1988 – December 10, 2018
Waha Nuup "Two Crow"
Anthony W. Woller, age 30, of Hayward, WI died Monday, December 10, 2018 at his home.
Anthony William Woller was born May 19, 1988 in Hayward, WI the son of Robert Blackdeer and Shelley (Woller) Gerich. He had a way about him, whether sharing a story or two, his laugh, his ability to always offer an ear to those who needed it, or just his goofiness you could not help but laugh along with him. Anthony was the type of guy who would give you the last dollar in his pocket or take his nieces and nephews to get treats until he was broke and never thought twice about it. He loved to make people feel loved and welcome. Anthony always made sure you knew he saw you in a room full of people and in a room full of people, he is who you wanted to be next to. He was polite, respectful, humorous and most of all kind. Anthony did not have a mean bone in his body and was the least judge mental person you would ever meet.
During Anthony's younger years he loved to play hockey, as a goalie and was known as "Brick". He and his teammates made it to State and won the State Championship. Anthony and his teammates still smile and reminisce about those hockey days. They have a bond that will never be broken.
During his teen years, Anthony discovered his true passion when he began to Drum with the Boys and Girls Club drum group, Grindstone Creek. RJ Smith introduced him to the Pow Wow Circuit and he was hooked ever since. Over the years Anthony drummed with many different drum groups and met many friends that became family. He could travel anywhere and was always welcomed by all. Anthony was an amazing singer and song writer. It wasn't unusual to also see him singing his heart out at karaoke or at a friend's kitchen table.
Anthony also loved to share his talents with younger kids. He was passionate about working at the Boys and Girls Club, teaching kids about being respectful, learning their culture, and just making them smile. He was once asked, "What makes you happy, the kind of happy you feel deep down inside?", without hesitation he responded, "I love to Pow Wow and Drum and I love being here with these kids". Anthony will be missed by all who crossed his path.
He is survived by mother Shelley (Duane) Gerich; father Robert Blackdeer Sr.; grandparents Joseph & Janice Goldman, and Letha Ellis; brothers Robert Blackdeer Jr., Johnathan Blackdeer, Cody Gerich, Ryan Gerich; sisters Heather Peterson, Angelina Blackdeer, Cara Jean Isham; uncles, aunts and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Anthony was preceded in death by grandfather Dudley LaRonge.
