Antoinette "Toni" Lorraine Trepania, age 78, of Lac Courte Oreilles, died Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Vita Care Living in Spooner, WI.
Toni was born June 20, 1944, in Hayward, the daughter of Bernard and Joan (Trepania) Miller. Toni graduated from Hayward High School in 1961. After high school, she attended Northland College for Office Administration. After Northland College, Toni moved to Waukesha where she met the love of her life Alfred Trepania. In Waukesha, Toni worked at GE Electric making light bulbs. She then went on to work at GE Telephone as a telephone switchboard operator with the old-fashioned plug-in switches. Toni and Al later moved back home to LCO and Toni worked at various positions with the Tribe: in Accounting, the School Kitchen, and Housing.
Toni and Al shared a lot of interests and hobbies. They were on a bowling league together for years, they loved snowmobiling back in the day when the lived in Seeley. They went to stock car racing nearly every weekend with Al's Bro Kenny Trepanier. Toni loved traveling with Al on his business trips while he was Tribal Chairman. She really enjoyed playing Bingo with her sister Mary and her Sister-in-Law and Best Friend Jeannie Bug. Toni was active with the St Francis Church and was close with Sister Felissa. Toni loved the Green Bay Packers and loved Vince Lombardi with a passion. She had a thirst for knowledge and knew everything about the Packers, JFK, and MLK.
Toni's greatest love was her family, her children Jennifer and Dennis, and her husband Al. When her children were school-age, Toni decided to be a stay-at-home mom to care for her family. She also was Gramma Babe Trepania's Caretaker in Babe's later years, whom she truly adored.
Toni loved to thrift and go garage saling; a favorite hobby, finding treasures she never knew she needed, and Al knew she didn't need 😊 Toni loved to visit, laugh, and have fun with her entire family and told the most amusing, and sometimes off-the-wall, jokes.
