Obituary

Barry L. Hollen, age 52, of New Post, died October 21, 2014 at his home in New Post.

Barry Lee Hollen was born on December 7, 1961 in Hayward, WI, the son of Rose Thayer. He grew up in New Post and graduated from Winter High School. After school Barry enlisted in the US Army. He held several jobs including Hayward Police Department and Lac du Flambeau Police Department, LCO Development, LCO IGA and he was also drove truck over the road. Barry was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed hunting.

He is survived by his mother Rose; sons Jason Hollen, Barry Hollen Jr.; daughter Natalie Hollen-Beauleigh; Will & Dusty Dunlap; grandson Jason Jr.; brothers Tim DeBrot Sr., Richard Hollen, Scott Quagon, Rodney Quagon, Darrin Quagon; sisters Linda Hollen, Sharon Cloud, Robin Tainter; many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Barry was proceeded in death by step-father Charles Quagon; sister Jeanne; brother-in-law Bill Tainter.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 24, 2014 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in New Post with Fr. Gregory Hopefl officiating and music provided by Liza Diamond. Burial will be in New Post Cemetery with military honors accorded by LCO AMVETS Post 1998. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward, with a scripture service at 6:30 p.m.

Honorary casket bearers will be Robert Allen, Tim DeBrot Sr., Tim DeBrot Jr., Rich Hollen Sr., Clyde Miller and James Potack.

Casket bearers are John Baker, Al Miller, Burleigh Miller, Doug Potack, Mic Tainter and Tom Tainter.
