Brain J. Thayer, age 34, of Lac Courte Oreilles, died Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, WI.

Brian James Thayer was born October 11, 1982 in Hayward, WI, the son of Florence Thayer. He grew up in Hayward and graduated from Hayward High School in 2001. After school Brian started working at the LCO Casino, working in the vault, security and housekeeping. He enjoyed fishing, ricing, basketball, football and being in the outdoors. Brian was a huge Minnesota Vikings fan.

He is survived by his mother Florence; children Brian Thayer Jr, Jody Quaderer and Jon Quaderer; sister Debrah Thayer; many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents Frank & Shirley Thayer; father Jeff Scott; Brian's significant other Holly Quaderer; Uncles Frank, William, Pete and David Thayer; Auntie Kim Thayer.

The Funeral Service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 12, 2016 at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward with Rev. Gordon Thayer officiating. Visitation was held beginning at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 11th at the funeral home.

Honorary Casket Bearers were Daniel Grover, Edwin Kakazu, Bob Pitchford, Jon Quaderer, Brian Thayer Jr., Doug Thayer, Gordon Thayer, Russell Thayer, Tom Thayer and Robert Trepania.

Casket bearers were Steven Benjamin, Dan Cousins, Joe Howard, Jason Thayer, Robert Thayer and Chris Zabolski.
