Bruce A. Cody, age 56, of Couderay, WI died Tuesday, December 26, 2017.

Bruce Allen Cody was born on March 15, 1961 in St. Paul, MN the son of Norman and Marjorie Jean (Anderson) Cody. He graduated from Winter High School in 1979 and joined the Army National Guard out of high school. In his early life, Bruce was a member of the Couderay Fire Department. He studied nursing at UW Madison and graduated in 1988 with a BSN. He went on to a successful career, working for years at a number of area facilities, including Queen of Angels in Radisson and Hayward Nursing Home. Bruce moved to Texas with his family, where he continued with his career for a number of years. He moved back to Wisconsin in 2009, and resided in Couderay until last year, when he moved to Cable. Bruce most recently worked at the LCO Casino as a black jack dealer.

He is survived by Holly Darcy and her children Haley, Samuel, and Tabitha; Justin Langston, Cheryl McCleney; brother Brian (Tonia) Cody, Brad (Summer) Cody; sister Becki (Michael) Shervey; nephews Barrett, Karter and Joseph; nieces Bradi, Brianna, Karleigh and Sarah.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Jean; and Jeremy Langston.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 25, 2018 at Evergreen Cemetery in Couderay.
