Carol J. Bauer, age 70, of Hayward, WI, died Thursday, January 28th, 2016 with her family by her side.

Carol Jean Bauer was born May 10, 1945 to Vera (Block) and Herman Gruber. After her father passed, her mother married Oscar Hauri, the man Carol called Daddy. Carol's passion was her family. She attended as many of her grandkids' and great-grandkids' activities as she could. She was considered "Mom" and "Grandma" by many. Carol was a volunteer for the Birkebeiner ski race for over 30 years
.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Harold "Harry" Bauer; daughters Shelly Thompson, Debbie (Joe) Skweres, Carolyn (Robert) Miles, Lora Hills, Kathy (Randy) Steadman, Tami (John Sr.) Cardillo; sons Rick Bauer, Don (Lisette) Norwick, Pat Norwick; 32 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; brothers Jimmy (Carol) Hauri, Larry Hauri; sister Nancy Bates; and close friend of 55 years, Sandie Reid.

Carol was preceded in death by her biological father Herman, mother Vera, father Oscar; brothers Skip, Herbie, Kenny; sister Kay; sisters-in-law Karen, Barb, Bobbie; and great-grandson Landyn.

A Memorial Gathering will be held from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6th with a time for sharing at 2:00 p.m. at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward.
