Carol A. Sutton, age 70, of Whitefish, died October 23, 2011, at Spooner Health System after a lengthy illness.

Carol Ann was born August 21, 1941 at Hayward Indian Hospital, the daughter of Charles & Sophie (Premo) Taylor. She was raised in the Whitefish Community and graduated from Hayward High School in 1960. Carol was united in marriage to Lloyd Sutton on September 29, 1962. She graduated from Rasmussen Business College after which she worked for Ramsey County Department of Social Services in St. Paul, MN, then worked as secretary for LCO Community Schools and LCO Tribal Government Office. Carol then continued her education at Mt. Senerio College in Ladysmith, WI.

Carol is survived by her husband Lloyd; son Steven; daughters Laurie and Lisa Sutton; grandchildren Ashley, Jamie, Sara, Michael and Hunter all of Hayward; sisters June (Bill) Rowen of St Paul, Marjorie Taylor, Delores Staples both of Danbury; brother Gary (Susie) Taylor of Hayward; many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Mary "Girl" Miller, Ruth "Beeb" Apfel, Judy McNabb; brothers Charles "Boy" Taylor, Robert "Bob" Taylor, Donald "Duck" Taylor.

The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward. Rev. Marvin Wilber will officiate with music provided by Marvin Wilber. Burial will be in Whitefish Cemetery in Sand Lake Township. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at the funeral home.

Honorary casket bearers will be Mike Fleming, Joe Grover, Alan Miller, Burleigh Miller, Clyde Miller, John Rusk and Kenneth Taylor Sr.

Casket Bearers will be Christopher McNabb, Duane "DJ" Miller, Ward Staples, Matthew Taylor, Kevin Thayer and William White.
