Cheryl Jean Gougé, age 58, of St. Paul, MN, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Rakhma Joy House in St. Paul.
Cheryl was born May 16, 1966, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Alfred and Dorothy (Butler) Gougé. She attended her primary and secondary schooling in Minneapolis. During her senior year at school, she met Charlie Langbecker, and they had two sons Rory and Cody, four years later her son Jerrot was born. Cheryl worked various small jobs and enjoyed working at Mystic Lake Casino. She loved life, being with people, and was not afraid to voice her opinion. She had a great sense of humor, and her laughter was infectious. Cheryl will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her son Rory Langbecker and Jerrot Gougé; seven grandchildren; and numerous cousins
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents Alfred & Dorothy; son Cody Langbecker; and brother Alfred "Slugger" Gougé.
Tribal Funeral Rites began at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward. Melissa "Babitaw" Boyd officiated. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery in Reserve. Visitation began at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 18th at the funeral home.
Honorary casket bearers were Carrie Lee Butler, Dave Butler, Tony Butler, Becky Gougé, Mark LaRonge & Tammy Quagon.
Casket Bearers were Gary "Chip" Butler, Tom Butler, Larry Butler Jr. Barry LaRonge, Daryl Quagon & Larry Quagon.
