Darryl Dean Barber, age 63, of New Post, died Friday, December 23, 2022.

Darryl was born July 12, 1959, in Hayward, WI, the son of Louis and Elizabeth (James) Barber. He worked as a welder in Los Angelo's, CA for a few years and many years for the Lac Courte Oreilles Tribe. Dino was an excellent hunter, classic walleye warrior, true woodsman and gather, He loved to exercise his treaty rights, picking boughs and loved to play a good game of cribbage. Dino had a passion for cooking, his sweets, the Green Bay Packers and visiting with friends and family.

He is survived by his brother Gaiashkibos (Cora); sister Julie (George) Taylor; many nephews, nieces & cousins.

Dino was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Robert Barber, Louis Barber & Dick Barber; sisters Rose Barber Burns & Denise Nelson; Bradley Barber, Brett "Bumble Bee" Barber Jr. and good friend Carrie Jean.

Tribal Funeral Rites were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 26, 2022, at New Post Community Center.  Jerry Smith officiated. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 25 ^th at New Post Community Center.

Honorary casket bearers were Bobby Allan, Laramie Jockey, Carolyn Nayquonabe, Julie Snow, Shelby Tainter & George Brett Taylor.

Casket bearers were Bob Barber, Derek Barber, Mick Belille, Tim Hogetvedt, Josh LaRush, Tom Tainter, Buck Taylor and Ken Taylor.
