David W. Christensen Jr., age 26, of Lac Courte Oreilles, WI died Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, WI.

David William Christensen Jr. was born September 27, 1993 in Minneapolis, MN the son of David Christensen Sr. and Brenda Hanks. He attended school at St. Francis Mission School and Hayward High School. After high school he moved to Minneapolis then moved to Green Bay, WI where he worked for Wisconsin Job Corps in training for CNA. David then moved back to Hayward where he worked for Country Terrace Living Center. He enjoyed traveling and spending time on the Pow-wow trail.

He is survived by his father David (Carollynn Hanlon) Christensen Sr.; mother Brenda Hanks; brothers Devin Christensen, Timothy Nelson, Thomas Nelson, Sage Christensen, Hunter Christensen, Sky Christensen and Alan Hanlon-LaRush; sisters Heather Hanks-Nelson and Chevelle LaRush; grandparents Karen (Robert) Jack, David Jack; Barbara Hanks and Wilmar Skippingday.

David was preceded in death by his brother Brent Hanks.

Tribal Funeral Rites was held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward. Eddie Benton Jr. and Eddie Benton  officiated. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery in Reserve. Visitation began at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 12 ^th at the funeral home.

Honorary casket bearers were Mike Coupé Sr., Mike Coupé Jr., Derek Gokey, Matthew Hanlon, Fred Jack III and Bill Mathison.

Casket bearers were Fred Jack II, Joe Jack, Sequoia Jack, Tecumseh Jack, Billy Mathison and Jeron Smallwood.
