David H. Egge, age 75, of Hayward, died Monday, June 19, 2017 at Country Terrance in Hayward.

David Harold Egge was born August 13, 1941 in Hayward, WI, the son of Harold and Georgia (Czadek) Egge. He grew up on the Egge dairy farm in Hayward and graduated from Hayward High School. After school Dave joined the Sawyer County Highway Department where he worked until retirement after 35 years. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and gardening with his family. Dave was also an avid stock car racer, known to his fans as "Dirty Dave".

He is survived by his children Lynn Granbom, David Todd Egge, Dawn Ross and Kristin Egge; grandchildren Travis, James, Ben, Austin, Taylor, Abbigail and Ian; great grandson Ayden; brother Vernon Egge; and many close cousins.

Dave was preceded by his parent Harold and Georgia.

A Memorial Service was held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 27 ^th at Pineview Funeral Service with Rev. Gary Hilgendorf officiating. Visitation was held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
