David E. Orabutt, age 67, of Hayward, WI passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at his home after a lengthy battle with cancer.

David Eugene Orabutt was born March 6, 1951 in Chicago, IL, the son of Arthur and Leona (Farren) Orabutt. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged after a back injury. David moved to the Hayward area and in 2006, was united in marriage to Gloria Jean (Gokey) Miller at their home. He loved to fish, spend time at the casino, garden and spend time with family and friends.

He is survived by his step-children Connie, Terri, Tina and Frank Miller all of Hayward; sisters Julie Prokulewicz of Willowbrook, IL, Christine Orabutt & Gail Wheeler (Bud Wheeler) both of Oshkosh; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren by marriage.

David was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Leona; brother Bruce Orabutt and his wife Gloria.

A Memorial Service was held 1:00 a.m., Friday, September 7, 2018 at St. Francis Solanus Indian Mission in Reserve. Father Gregory Hopefl officiated with music provided by Sister Felissa Zander. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation was held from 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m. prior to Mass at the church.
