David B. Radloff, age 63, of Cable died Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at his home.
David Bernard was born August 2, 1948 in Ashland, the son of Bernard and June (Martinsen) Radloff. He graduated high school in Cable in 1966. After high school he attended welder's school in Beaver Dam, WI until being drafted into the U.S. Army in 1968. David served during the Vietnam War, and also served in the Army National Guard in Hayward for six years. After his military service he began work with Vortanz Lumber in Seeley for several years, then began work in Logging with his Dad and Brother, working for Bernard Radloff and Sons, retiring in 2010. Dave was united in marriage to Nancee Reser on July 14, 1972 at Trinity Lutheran Chapel in Cable where he was a lifetime member. He was a volunteer with Cable Fire Department for 32 years and was a past member of the VFW in Hayward.
He is survived by his wife Nancee; son Curtis (fiancé Jessica Lisowe) Radloff of Chilton, WI; brother Barry (Crystal) Radloff of Cable; sister Jenalee Ksiazyk (Homer Mittelstadt) and Paulette (Tom) Frels, both of Cable, and many nephew, nieces and cousins.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 21 at Trinity Lutheran Chapel in Cable. Pastor DuWayne Schneider will officiate with music provided by Dave's sister Jenalee Ksiazyk. Local fire departments will be present at the Memorial Service. Military Honors will be accorded by the Hayward Veterans Council and State of Wisconsin Military Honors Team. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Hayward. Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service on Saturday at the chapel.
