Deanna M. Baker, age 80, of New Post, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 11, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Deanna Marie DeBrot was born June 3, 1942, in Hayward, the daughter of Earl and Phyllis (Bachand) DeBrot. She was raised in the Village of New Post and lived her entire life there and the city of Hayward. Deanna was united in marriage to Patrick Baker on September 15, 1972 in Waukegan, IL. She worked several years for the T.R.A.I.L.S. Program where Deanna began her long career working with youth. This led her to becoming the Director of the Birth to Three Program where she spent the next 27 years working with handicapped youth and their families. Deanna worked with anyone who called her, day or night, with a problem. She retired in July of 2022.

She is survived by her children Tim (Sherri), Carolyn, Doreen, Renee, John & Charles; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; brothers Dale & Warren; sisters Catherine & Elaine; many nephews, nieces & cousins.

Deanna was preceded in death by her parents; husband Patrick; brother Wayne; sister Suzanne; grandson Johnathon; nephews Ronald Quaderer Jr. & Keith Quaderer Jr.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in New Post. Father Gregory Hopefl & Father Karunakar Madanu officiated with music provided by Sister Felissa Zander. Burial was in New Post Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward.

Honorary casket bearers were Joe Baker, Donald Bildeau Jr., Dick Conger, Delano Dassow, Brandon DeBrot Sr., Hugh Hayes, David Jones & Mick Tainter.

Casket bearers were Gabe Baker, Brandon DeBrot Jr., Tim DeBrot Jr., Dustin Dunlap, William Dunlap II & James Wilson IV.
