Deanna L. Froemel, age 70, of Hayward, died Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Bethesda Hospital in St. Paul, MN.

Deanna "Dee" Lee was born February 16, 1947 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of Carlyle Orms and Georgia Mable Owen. She grew up in Crete-Moline, IL and graduated from Crete High School and received her Associate Degree from WITC in Ashland. Dee moved to Hayward in 1969 and was united in marriage to Gerald Froemel on September 11, 1971. She was a CNA at Hayward Hospital for several years and retired in 2009. Dee also owned and operated Dee's Delicious Baked Goods, and she always wanted to make sure no one ever left hungry.

She is survived by her husband Gerald; son Mathew (Beth), Kevin, Jay (Christina); daughters Betsy (Chris), Katie; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers Bob (Janet), Tom (Lynn), David (Cheryl); sister Kathy (Jim); and sisters-in-law Linda and Judy Froemel.

Dee was preceded in death by her mother Georgia; father Carlyle; sister Lalla; brother-in-laws Roger, Larry, Bob; sister-in-law Marlene.

A Memorial Service was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 18, 2017 at Hayward Wesleyan Church with Rev. Tim Young officiating. Music was provided by Pastor Ryan Wilson. A lunch followed at the Hayward Veterans Center. Burial will be in Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner. Visitation was held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Friday, prior to the service at the church.

Honorary Bearers were Matt Froemel, Kevin Froemel, Jay Froemel, Chris Whitmore, Allen Metzger, Christopher Froemel, Austin McCarthy, Otto Froemel, Nathan Scribner, Matthew Froemel and Ayden Froemel.
