Debra White, age 69, of Lac Courte Oreilles, WI, passed away Monday, January 6, 2026.

Debra was born November 22, 1956, in Hayward Wisconsin, daughter of Alex Joseph Sharlow and Evelyn Lorraine Sharlow.  Debra had a rare spirit and a selfless heart that knew no limits. She enjoyed her years teaching and nurturing her own children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as generations of children, it made her day to hear "Hi miss Debbie!" from the parents and children who's lives she touched with her love and kindness. She will forever be missed and she will always be golden.

She is survived by her daughter Dalana Rose White; son; Melvin Alex Thomas "MAT" White Jr. grandchildren; Darien Taylor, Alex White, Joshua White, Melvin White III, Thomas White & Mathew White. sisters Dianne Sharlow, Doris Mae Sharlow, Denise (James) Hamilton and Denelle Sharlow; and many nephews & nieces.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents Alex and Evelyn Sharlow; husband Melvin White; and sister Dana Sharlow.

Tribal Funeral Rites will begin at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 9, 2026, at Big Drum Ceremonial Center in Lac Courte Oreilles. Chato "Ombishkebines" Gonzales will officiate. Burial will be at their family home, Bass Lake Township. Visitation will begin at sundown, Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Big Drum Ceremonial Center.

Honorary casket bearers will be Jim Miller, Tom Carley, Donnie Carley, Richard Carley, Miss Liz Burgum, Arnie and Lori Rice, Carrie Enoch, Tyrone Victor, Robert Coon Sr., and Louis Taylor Jr.

Casket bearers will be Bob Sharlow Sr., Bob Sharlow Jr., Anthony Sharlow, Nick Miller, Mario Sharlow and Mitch Sharlow.
