Obituary

Delphine I. Quaderer, age 84, of New Post, died Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Hayward Area Memorial Hospital.

Delphine Inez Quaderer was born in Hayward, WI on December 12, 1928, the daughter of John and Marie Fleming. She graduated from Hayward School system, met and married Maynard G. Quaderer of Whitefish, LCO in 1946. They lived in Whitefish and birthed sons Maynard John and Daniel and after gave birth to a daughter Cynthia Rose. In 1953 they moved to Minneapolis, MN to live with Pastor Kelly Merrit and wife at their 4 Square Pentecostal Church. She became a devoted member and follower of Jesus Christ and throughout her life she demonstrated her faith by the care and love she gave to all her friends and relatives and everyone she met.

She found work for an advertising agency and became the Executive Secretary for this firm and retired from there in the 1980's after 30 years. Delphine later got involved with the inter-city American Indian youth in the 80's and became the Career Counselor for the Indian children of South High School in the Minneapolis School System for twelve years. She touched the lives of many youth there as they still contacted her years after she moved back to the Reservation.

Delphine enjoyed life and enjoyed traveling around the United States. Her sisters married and moved away to various states and she'd jump into her car to go visit them, taking whomever of her relatives along with her.

Her frailties were seldom noticed because of her faith which gave her inner strength to out shine whatever life had in store for her. She was a blessing to be around and have around. She is going to be missed by all who knew her. I'm sure God is well pleased to have her home.

She is survived by her son M. John Quaderer; daughter Cindy; nine grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brothers John Fleming, Eugene Fleming, Floyd Fleming; sister Agnes Fleming.

Delphine is preceded in death by her parents; son Daniel (died as a baby); brothers Jerome Fleming (died as a baby), Obie Fleming, Art Fleming, Virgil Fleming; sister Theresa Williams, Mary Rose Fleming, Julie Ann Carter.

The Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at LCO Assembly of God Church in Signor with Pastor Marvin Wilber officiating. Marvin & Deborah Wilber will be providing music. Burial will be on the Quaderer Family Property in Sand Lake Township. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 27 at the church, and again from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service on Wednesday.
