Obituary

Derek Alan Wilson, age 59, of Lac Courte Oreilles, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, at his home.

Derek was born March 19, 1965, in Hayward, WI the son of Carole (Miller) Wilson.

He is survived by his mother Carole "Bobo" Wilson; brother Joseph Miller; sisters Michelle Wilson & Tammy (Mike) DeNasha; uncle Carl Miller; aunts Margie Miller & Jackie Froemel; and many nephews, nieces & cousins.

Derek was preceded in death by his brothers Dale Wilson & James Wilson; sister Leslie Wilson; grandmother Aziga Miller; aunts Mimi Miller, Beatrice Hall & Shirley Thomas; uncles Thomas Miller, Edward Miller, Roger Miller & Terry Miller; nephews Jimbo Wilson & Brad Wilson; and great niece Cecelia Quagon.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 11, 2024, at St. Francis Solanus Indian Mission in Reserve. Father Karunakar Madanu officiated with music provided by Sister Felissa Zander. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by LCO AMVETS Post 1998.Visitation began at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, October 10th at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward.

Honorary casket bearers will be Mike DeNasha, Erv Cross, Randy Miller, Sunder "Blockhead" Dennis, Tommy DeNasha, Casey Miller, Jason Weaver and all his nieces & nephews.

Casket Bearers will be John Quagon, TJ Wilson, Dale DeNasha, Dusty Wilson, Cody "Big Head" Wilson & Joey DeNasha.
