Donald A. DeMarr, age 85, of LCO, died Friday, March 18, 2016 at Golden Living Valley of Hayward.

Donald Alexander DeMarr was born October 12, 1930 in Hayward, the son of Lawrence and Virginia (Belille) DeMarr. He attended school at St. Francis and graduated from Hayward High School. Don lived in Chicago working for a logging company then moved to Minneapolis where he worked in maintenance.

He is survived by his nephews Larry DeMarr, Ronald DeMarr, Richard DeMarr, Terry DeMarr, Robert DeMarr; nieces Cindy Papish, Debora Zamora, Donna North; cousins Irene Quaderer, Leona Martin, Frank Martin, William Martin.

Don was preceded by his parents; brothers Ed, Sonny and Richard DeMarr; sister Lorraine Corbine.

Tribal Funeral Rites were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Big Drum Ceremonial Center in Lac Courte Oreilles with Lee Staples officiating. Burial was in Round Lake Cemetery. Visitation began at 6:00 p.m. Monday, March 21st at Big Drum.

Honorary bearers were Wayne Jenson and Gary Zentz.

Casket bearers were Larry DeMarr, Robert DeMarr, Terry DeMarr, Richard Paquette, Les Quaderer and George Thayer.
