Doris A. Tainter, age 75, of New Post, died April 11, 2013 at Waters Edge Care Center in Hayward.

Doris Ann was born October 3, 1937 in New Post, WI the daughter of Larry Sr. & Marie (Germain) Tainter. She was raised in the New Post Community and was known as "Dode" to many. Doris had a wonderful sense of humor and a smile for everyone, and was well known for her exceptional cooking abilities. She was very proud of her 25 years of sobriety.

She is survived by her children Pearl Gokee, Marilyn (Chuck) Williams, Rosalie (Carl) Gokee, Cheryl (Brian) Littlegeorge, Bonnie Ledoux, Dan (Gloria) Gokee, Larry Kagigebi; 26 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren; brother Gary (Jan) Tainter; sisters Darlene (Jim) Cornwell, Marilyn Marlinee, Connie (Johnny Boy) Corbine.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents Marie & Larry Tainter Sr., brothers Larry "Buck" Tainter Jr. and Albert Tainter; and sister Joan Kagigebi.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 16 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in New Post. Father Gregory Hopeful will officiate with music provided by Sister Felissa Zander. Burial will be in New Post Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 15 at New Post Senior Center with a Scripture Service at 6:00 p.m.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Andrew Barber-Gokee, Gary Becker, Matthew Chapel, Jason Fleming, Daniel Gokee Jr., James Gougé Jr., Joshua Luce Jr. and William Thunder.

Casket Bearers will be Derek Gokee, Bronson Kagigebi, Kenneth Littlegeorge III, Trenton Littlegeorge, Joshua Luce Sr. and Josiah Thunder Jr.
