Dorothy M Tate, age 87 of Exeland, passed away Thursday February 9, 2012 in Barrington, Illinois.
Dorothy Marie was born May 16, 1924 in Couderay, WI, the daughter of Alfred and Luzenia (White) Sander. In her lifetime Dorothy was a teacher, assembly worker and cook, although she will best be remembered for her irreverent sense of humor, extraordinary cooking, her artistry and her love of nature. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her children Neal "Butch" Carryl of WY, Jim Tate of Couderay, Sheryl Fink of CA, Jennifer Tate (Kerry Seal) of IL; grandchildren Adam Carryl, Misty Fink, Sarah Inczauskis, Nicole Tate, Lance Veness; great grandchild Hailey Veness; brothers Mike (Terre) Sander of Couderay, Bob Sander of Exeland; numerous nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; son Steve Carryl; brothers Lawrence "Sonny", Alfred "Skip" and John; sister Dolores, Joy, Grace and Frances "Bertie".
Tribal Funeral Rites were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 13 at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward. Jerry Smith officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Couderay. Visitation was held from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Honorary casket bearers were Adam Carryl, Kelly Sander, Larry Sander, Mike Sander, Bruce Whitney and Dave Whitney.
Casket bearers were Karl Habeck, Greg Pachnik, Bill Ritchey, Kerry Seal, Jim Whitney and Clayton Aspseter.
