Douglas L. Wolfe, age 60, of Lac Courte Oreilles, died Friday, September 22, 2017 at University Hospital, Fairview in Minneapolis, MN.

Douglas LeRoy Wolfe was born on March 18, 1957 in Chicago, Il, the son of Richard and Ida (Quaderer) Wolfe. He grew up in Chicago and Waukegan, IL then moved to Whitefish in 1967. Doug attended Stone Lake Elementary School, Flandreau Indian School in South Dakota and Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, KS. He then moved to Minneapolis, MN. Where he worked as a journeyman painter for several years. Doug moved back to Whitefish in 2002. He worked for the LCO Quickstop and then began working as Director of Maintenance for LCO Tribal Office, where he was currently working.

He is survived by his daughters Alicia (Cory) Cross, Katrina Wolfe; step daughter Selina Isham; grandchildren Alijah Cross, Marquell and Marcellos Gokey and LaRayah Fairbanks; brother Richard "Puddin" Wolfe; sisters Teresa "Terry" Wolfe, Doreen Wolfe; many nephews and nieces.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Sarah Wolfe; brothers Wendell and Jay Wolfe; niece Lynsey Beaudin.

The Funeral Service was held 11:00 a.m., Thursday September 28, 2017 at LCO Assembly of God Church in Signor. Rev. Gordon Thayer officiated with music provided by Stephanie St. Germaine. Burial was in Whitefish Cemetery. Visitation began at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 27th at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward.

Honorary casket bearers were Tom Beaudin, Alvin Chino, Cory Cross, Curtis Isham, Bill Nebel, Gary Quaderer Jr., Jerry "Boy" Rusk, Richard Rusk, Scott Stout, Sean Stout, Ellsworth Tenbear, Myron Thomas and Duke Wolf.

Casket bearers were Philippe Beaudin, Rick Denomie, Steve Stout, Bob Wolfe, Brandon Wolfe, Rick Wolfe and Wendell Wolfe Jr.
