Duane Harvey Harebo, age 81, of Hayward, WI, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Hayward Health Services.

Duane was born December 22, 1943, in Black River Falls, WI the son of Harvey and Rosella (Swenson) Harebo. He attended grade school and junior high in Melrose, WI, and graduated from Melrose High School. Duane was united in marriage to Margaret Miller on October 28, 1976, in Las Vegas, NV. He worked for Anaconda American Brass Factory for 37½ years. After moving to Hayward, Duane worked for the LCO Casino for 15 years.  He was a sports fanatic but more than anything else, Duane's love for Margaret was so deep and she meant the world to him.

He is survived by his son David Harebo; daughter Deborah Chambers; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; and his nephews & nieces.

Duane was preceded in death by his wife Margaret; parents Harvey & Rosella; brother Jerome Harebo; and sisters Donna Davis, Ruth Hagg & Arlene Sheldahl.

The family would like to thank Hayward Health Services and Regional Hospice.

Per Duane's wishes, there will be no services. Burial will be held at a later date in Spider Lake Cemetery.
