Edgar K. Isham, age 60, of Mt. Pleasant, MI, formerly of Lac Courte Oreilles, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant.
Edgar Kevin was born on May 19, 1956 in Fort Benning, GA, the son of Dale and Marlene (Nayquonabe) Isham. Edgar was a member of the Lac Courte Oreilles Tribe. Edgar was one of the first employees at the Card Room, which later became the Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant, MI.
He is survived by his children, Charlie Isham, Trevor Isham, Noelle (Marvin) Wells, Terence (Lauren) Isham, Mesha Isham, and Misty Kear; 13 grandchildren with one on the way; siblings, Mary, Richard, Roger, Benny, Karen, Paul, Samuel, Sharon, Rose, Christine, Diane; and many nieces and nephews.
Edgar was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Chucky and Terri.
A Memorial Gathering and feast was held beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Big Drum Ceremonial Center in Lac Courte Oreilles.
A Memorial Service was also held on Thursday, August 4 at the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribal Gym in Mt. Pleasant, MI.
