Elizabeth J. LaPoint, age 83 of Minneapolis, MN journeyed to the Spirit World Sunday, July 10, 2022.
Elizabeth Joyce LaPoint was born March 19, 1939, in Reserve, WI, the daughter of David Belille and Louise Corbine. She loved her children; her family was everything to her. Elizabeth loved music, Bob Segar, The Eagles, and The Rolling Stones. Family parties, gatherings for the 4 of July, Christmas, social events, cooking, spending time at LCO, Hummingbirds, Butterflies, going to Falconer Vineyards, La Casita's Mexican Restaurant, mystery shows, scary movies, traveling by train, especially to Washington was many of the things that Elizabeth loved. Elizabeth prayed the rosary every day, sometimes twice a day. She was a part of the Christian's Mothers Guild at St Boniface. She was an enrolled member of The Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Ojibwe.
Survived by her son: Timothy LaPoint; daughters: Dawn LaPoint and Suzette Boltjes; brothers: Melvin Belille and Clarence Ess Belille; sisters: Sharon Daughtrey, Evelyn Barabash, Mary Olsen, and Margaret Necklace; ten grandchildren and ten great - grandchildren; many other loving relatives and friends.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Robin LaPoint; sons: Dennis LaPoint, Donald LaPoint and Dino LaPoint.
A Mass of Christian Burial for will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2022, at St. Boniface, 629 2 nd St. NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413. Father Biju Mathew will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022, beginning at 12:00 (Noon) until time of services at the church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, July 22, 2022, at St. Francis Solanus Indian Mission, in Reserve. Father Gregory Hopefl will officiate. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
Honorary Casket Bearers will be Dean LaPoint and Clarence Ess Belille.
Casket Bearers will be Anthony LaPoint, Zach LaPoint, Travis Heckman, Troy Heckman, Curtis Boltjes and Matt Belille.
