Elizabeth Lorraine Ledbeter, age 88, of Lac Courte Oreilles, WI, passed away April 5th, 2026, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Lorraine was born June 10th, 1937, in Hayward, WI, the daughter of Clifford and Marie (White) Miller. She attended Kinnamon School. On June 1, 1957, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Leroy Ledbeter. She spent many years working at Turks Inn, worked at the LCO K-12 school as an elder mentor, an elder hostess at the Casino, she was an active member in the LCO Elders Association. She loved gardening, feeding birds, baking, and spending time with her family. She loved hummingbirds. She loved to pick berries and make homemade jams. She canned vegetables from her garden. She was a skilled embroider and loved to sew. In her younger years, she enjoyed snowmobiling with her husband. She loved to spend time with her sisters and brothers and a good cup of coffee and share her meal. She was an Ogichidaakwe on the LCO Big Drum and lived by the traditional teachings. She was fourth degree Midewiwin.

She is survived by her son, Lloyd Alan, daughters; Brenda (John) Aubart, Marilyn (Bryan) Jones; granddaughters, Shanna (Chad) Madson, Colleen Ford; grandson, Mitchell (Anne) Ford; great-granddaughter Sora; great-grandsons; Nolan, Callum, Deegan. Sisters: Dorothy Miller, Barbara (Frank Sr.) Lopez, Cindy (Mike) Miller-Flechsig; Brothers: Rick (Marilyn) Miller. And many nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Marie (White) Miller, her husband, Lloyd Ledbeter; son, Byron Ledbeter; sisters, Sally (Dean) McClurg, Donna Davis, Kathleen Miller, Elaine Miller. Brothers; Tom (Jill) Miller, Jim (Kathy) Miller.

Midewiwin Tribal Funeral Rites will begin at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Big Drum Ceremonial Hall in Lac Courte Oreilles. Chato “Ombishkebines” Gonzalez will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Hayward. Visitation will begin at sundown, Tuesday, April 7th, at Big Drum Ceremonial Hall.

Honorary casket bearers will be Rick Miller, James Lopez, Frank “Teats” Lopez Sr., John Aubart, Kelly Martin, Mike Flechsig & Bryan Jones.
