Ellen L. Gordon, age 59, of LCO, died Saturday, May 27, 2017 in Forest, WI.

Sue-Ellen La'ren was born September 29, 1957 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Arnulfo and Maryellen (Baker) Zamora. She resided in Lac Courte Oreilles and received her associates degree at LCO Community College. She enjoyed traveling with her mother, collecting books and movies, crocheting, and musicals, and was a lifelong learner. Sue-Ellen loved animals and taking in stray dogs and cats. Over the years she opened her home to many people. She loved spending time with her family, and her children were the light of her life.

She is survived by her significant other Jeff Anderson; children Maryellen "Mel" (Ray Vallem) Gordon, JayColette Herald-Gordon, Jason Morrow; step-daughter Brittany Anderson; mother Maryellen Baker; sisters Eunice Zamora, Denise (Ernest Sr.) King, Karen Donahoe, Emily Bracklin; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ellen was preceded by her father Arnulfo; sons Charlie and Martin; grandmother Ellen Smith Paulserud; great grandmother Maggie Smith; uncles Charlie, Pat, Rick & Alvin Baker; niece Colleen-Diónne.

Tribal Funeral Rites were held at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Pineview Funeral Service in Chicago, IL with Edward Benton Banaise Sr. officiating. Burial was in Historyland Cemetery. Visitation began at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 30 ^th at the funeral home.

Honorary Casket Bearers were Charlie Baker, Netahwis Baker, O'Brien Baker, O'Neil Baker, Adam Corbine, Arnold J. Corbine Jr., Ernest King Sr., Jason Morrow and Ray Vallem.

Casket bearers were Robert Baker, Edward J. Bowker, Ernest King Jr., Rick Rooney, Jason Schlender and Shane D. Zamora.
