Eris H. Miles, age 93, of Seeley, WI, died Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Hayward Area Memorial Hospital.

Eris Helen Miles was born August 10, 1923, the daughter of Ernest and Christine (Larsen) Thannum. Eris was the treasurer for the Town of Lenroot for many years, helped manage Miles Sales & Service until age 89 and "mothered" many of the Seeley kids for 60 years.

Eris is survived by two sons, Donald (Jeri) Miles and David (Kathy) Miles of Oceanside, CA; two daughters, Jacqueline (Duane) Amundson of Cable, WI, and Sherry (John) Egan of Coon Rapids, MN; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a sister, Lorraine Olson of Oshkosh, WI; and a sister-in-law Rosalie Thannum of Wichita, KS.

Eris was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Harold Miles; her parents Ernest and Christine (Larsen) Thannum; a brother William Thannum; and a sister Genevieve Hahn.

A Celebration of Life Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Pineview Funeral Service, 9343N County Road K, in Hayward with Rev. Gary Hilgendorf officiating. Visitation was held from 12:00 noon until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial was in Seeley Riverside Cemetery.
