Eugene Raymond Fleming, age 81, of New Post, WI, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025.

Eugene was born on September 24, 1943, in Hayward, WI the son of John and Marie (DeMarr) Fleming. He graduated from hayward then moved to Waukegan where he met the love of his life. Together they had two sons Eugene "Ike" and Daniel. They moved to Minneapolis and bought a home in Blaine where they resided until moving back to the Hayward-New Post area. Eugene worked in construction for many years. After living in New Post for years they decided to clear a lot and build his own homestead in the Blueberry Community near his childhood home. After moving into their new home, Eugene started working at the LCO Casino where he worked for almost 40 years, retiring in 2023. He spent most of his free time working on small projects, tending his flower garden and he loved being outdoors and traveling. Most of all he loved spending time with his three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He is survived by his son Eugene "Ike" Fleming & Daniel Fleming; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren; brothers John "Injun" Fleming & Floyd Fleming; sister Agnes Fleming; many nephews & nieces.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents John & Marie; wife Frances; brothers Jerome Fleming, Obie Fleming, Art Fleming & Virgil Fleming; sisters Theresa Williams, Mary Rose Fleming, Julie Ann Carter & Delphine Quaderer.

A Memorial Gathering was held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2025, with Tribal Prayer being held at 5:00 p.m. at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward.  Gary Quaderer Sr. officiated.

Honorary bearers were Floyd Fleming, Greg Fleming, James Fleming Sr., John "Injun" Fleming, Sean Fleming & Jonathan Fleming.
