Felix C. Yanez, age 22, of LCO, died Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Hayward Area Memorial Hospital.
Felix Charles Yanez was born in Hayward, WI on July 8, 1991, the son of Felix and Marcia (Thayer) Yanez. He grew up in Hayward and attended Lac Courte Oreilles Elementary, Middle and High School. Beside Hayward Felix lived in Minneapolis and Mexico D.F. He attended LCO Assembly of God Church in Signor. Felix loved hunting, fishing, wild ricing and picking boughs. He was a famous bough picker and also an experienced fisherman (walleye slayer). Felix worked with his father landscaping and was well known for his eagerness to work. He will be greatly missed for his sense of humor and good jokes. Felix was very ambitious in life, and was eager to be a success to his baby boy Evan.
He is survived by his parents; wife Lori Joyce Potack-Yanez; son Evan Lorne Charles Yanez; brother Javier Yanez; sisters Angelita, Rachel, Esperanza and Locadia Yanez; grandparents Josephina Mejia Yanez, Miguel & Locadia; nephews and nieces Genesis Yanez Stevens, Vincent Yanez Stevens, Michael Yanez Sayers; many aunts uncles & cousins.
Felix was preceded in death by his grandparents Charles and Christine Thayer
The Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 13 at LCO Assembly of God Church in Signor with Pastor Marvin Wilber will officiate with music provided by Marvin & Deborah Wilber. Burial will be in Signor Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 0 p.m. Tuesday, November 12 at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward.
Honorary casket bearers will be Michael Ellis, Ronnie Gokey, Chris Grover, Christine Grover, Gway, Buddy Hall, Obizaan Morrow, James Nickence, Cody Potack, Thomas Quaderer, P.J. Sayers, Frank Tainter, Pat Tainter and Anthony Thayer.
Casket bearers are Robin Bildeau, Forest Grover, Richie Hollen Jr., Derek Pringle, Josh Pringle Sr., Vincent Stevens, Ruben Taylor and Adam Thayer.
