He was born on February 3, 1937 in Weigor, WI to Robert and Zelena Villiard. They began their military adventure at Rantoul AFB, IL, taking them to posts around much of the United States, including Patrick AFB, FL in support to the Apollo moon missions, and overseas to Clark AFB in the Philippines. His final post was at Hill AFB, UT, where they ultimately retired, alternating between their home in Layton and their summer cabin on Blueberry Lake in Hayward, WI.
