Frank W. Duffy, 80, of Hayward, died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Water's Edge Care Center.
Frank William Duffy was born on July 29, 1934 in Hayward, the son of William and Frances Duffy. He was raised in Hayward and went to the Hayward Community Schools and graduated in 1952. He was employed by the Peoples National Bank and was Sawyer County Clerk. Frank was a member of the Hayward National Guard and served at Fort Lewis during the Berlin Crisis. He was a director of Hayward Chamber of Commerce in 1967, belonged to the Knights of Columbus and the Hayward Lions Club. Frank enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing and traveling.
He is survived by two nephews Doug (Lisa) Duffy of Checotah, OK, Dale (Ellen) Duffy of Hudson, WI; one niece Cheri Davis of Highlands Ranch, CO; loyal friends Bruce and Jan West; many cousins.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jerry and sister Emily.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hayward in the Spring.
