Gary M. Gougé, age 59, of Whitefish, WI died Saturday, January 5, 2019 at his home.
Gary Michael Gougé was born June 30, 1959 in Hayward, WI the son of Elmer and Martina (Frogg) Gougé. He was born in Hayward, moving to Chicago when he was young, and then returning to Hayward at the age of 8. Gary attended school in Hayward and New Post. After school he was employed at LCO and Winter Grocery Stores as a meat cutter. Gary then worked for LCO Housing for over 20 years After retiring from meat cutting he was a self-employed maintenance man. Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing and his time at the casino.
He is survived by his mother Martina; son Jonathan Gougé; daughters Bambi Cross, Debra Jack, Tara Gougé & Journie Gougé; six grandchildren.
Gary was preceded in death by his father Elmer "Tiny" Gougé; grandparents George & Hattie Gougé, Rachael Wade and James Frogg.
Mass of Christian Burial was held 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 11, 2019 at St. Francis Solanus Indian Mission in Reserve. Father Gregory Hopefl officiated with music provided by Sister Felissa Zander. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation began at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward.
Honorary casket bearers were Dennis Brabbs, Jim Butler, Brian Delapast, Jonathan Gougé, Randall Gougé and Ray Martin.
Casket bearers were Andy Bennett, Red Coon, Vince Desiderio Jr., Ron Gokey, Jim Gougé and Terrance Manuelito.
