Gavino P. Medina, age 80, of Winter, died Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN.

Gavino Peter Medina was born December 4, 1934 in St. Paul, MN, the son of Louis and Anna (Miranda) Medina. He grew up and attended school in St. Paul. He worked for Northern Pacific Railroad Company for many years and then worked at Fairway Foods until his retirement. He moved to Winter, WI in 1994 where he enjoyed his family, grandchildren, fishing and living on the lake.

He is survived by his significant other Judy Kerby; sons Gavin Medina, Patrick Caprice, Daniel Medina, Joseph Medina, Louis Medina II; daughters Susan Medina, Sandra Medina-McNeal, Sheila Medina-Janikula, Amanda Medina-Sullivan; many grandchildren & great grandchildren; brothers Claude Medina, Armand Medina, John Medina; sisters Frances Lopez, Stephanie Newstrand, Diane Hottinger; many nephews and nieces.

Gavino was preceded by his parents; children Joel Medina, Corey Medina, Kathleen Medina; 1st wife Roxanne Reynolds; 2nd wife Margaret (Bond) Medina; great grandson Austin Caprice.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place at R & R Bayview Resort in Hayward on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 3:30 – 6:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in St. Paul at a later date.
