David "Geronimo" Wade, age 54, of Lac Courte Oreilles, died Tuesday, November 10, 2015 in Franklin, WI.

David "Geronimo" Michael Wade was born April 16, 1961 in Chicago, IL the son of Paul "Biddy" Wade and Joyce Ninham. He grew up attending the Indian Community School in Milwaukee, WI as a child and later graduated from high school in May 1978 at the Flandreau Indian High School in Flandreau, SD. Geronimo furthered his education and attended the Haskell Indian College in Lawrence, KS, Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe Community College in Hayward and graduated from the Iron Workers School in Chicago, IL in 1980. He loved being with his family and friends and mainly spending his time with the children "little ones" in his family. Geronimo loved his heritage and was a spiritual and cultural man always traveling and attending tribal ceremonies, sweats, and singing and dancing at powwows. Geronimo lived his life with a passion for family and friends having a big caring heart, if he had it you had it, taking care of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all.

He is survived by his mother Joyce; children Kenneth (Paula Tucker) Doxtator Sr., Quill Wade, Damon Skenandore, Jordan Jelinek, Geronimo Durant, Lisalynn Wade, Sarah "Little Rose" Wade, Davine Wade, Diondra Boswell, Shelby Boswell, & David Boswell; step-children Kimberly Kostter, Patrick Kostter; 20 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; siblings Gayle Corbine, Linda "Nana" Wade, Barbara Jean "BJ" Moore, Gina Diamond, Frank "Cricket" (Maria) Wade, Wayne "Doogie" Wade, Paul "Obbie" Wade, Donnie Corbine and Robert "Berta" (Rick) Corbine; many adopted and foster brothers and sisters; aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews.

Geronimo was preceded by his father Biddy; grandparents; son Cody "Bad Bear" Wade; siblings Cindy Wade-Cornelius, George Wade, Joseph "Smiley" Wade, Ardis Wade and Stewert Wade; nieces Amy Wade-Munell & Abigail Wade.

Tribal Funeral Rites were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward with Alex Fox officiating. Burial was at Chief Lake Indian Burial Grounds in Hayward.

Honorary bearers were Dwayne Corbine, Brian Delapast, Dezzie, Ronald Grieger Jr., Terry Tribble, Jeremy Wade, Mahto Man Wade, Prez Wade, Gordy Williams and Michael "Geezik" Williams.

Casket bearers will be John Anderson, Shane Corbine, David Doxtator, Kenneth Doxtator Jr., Joe Ishan Jr., Ray Tatroe, Mike Taylor, Travel Skenandore, Wabbs Olson and Joe Wade.
