Gloria J. Miller, age 69, of LCO, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at her home.
Gloria Jean Miller was born March 14, 1946 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Audrey "Fya" Gokey. She was united in marriage to Donald Miller Sr. on February 11, 1964. Jean was a cook at St. Francis School for many years and then continued her cooking career at the LCO Schools for another 25 years. She loved visiting with family and friends and cooking for large crowds. Anyone that knew Jean, know what we mean when we say, "She was famous for her buns". She enjoyed going to the casino, playing Yahtzee and in her spare time gardening.
She is survived by her son Frank J. Miller Sr.; daughter Connie "Sue' Miller, Terri K. Miller, Tina L. Miller; daughter-in-law Nancy Trepanier-Miller; brothers Stuart Miller, Troy Burchfield; sisters Karen Ackley, Margaret Miller-Timp, Mary Burchfield, Kelli Fowler-Isham; sisters-in-law Antoinette "Toni" Trepania, Betty Brace, Carol Miller, Lori Miller & Carla Miller; many grandchildren & great grandchildren, many nephews & nieces; significant other David Orabutt.
Jean was preceded by her grandparents Frank & Mary (Rufus) Gokey; mother Audrey; husband Donald Miller Sr.; sons Donald Miller Jr., Bryan Miller; grandson Donald Miller III; sister Andrea Sparks; brothers Dave Miller, Gene Burchfield, Gary Miller; sister-in-law Mary Miller; daughter-in-law Darcy Quaderer; son-in-law Patrick H. Trepanier Sr.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2015 at St. Francis Solanus Indian Mission in Reserve with Father Gregory Hopefl officiating. Music will be provided by Sister Felissa Zander. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 12 at Pineview Funeral Service.
Honorary bearers will be Jean's grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Casket bearers will be Stuart Belille, Arnold Crone, Myron Crone, Steve Crone, Curt Isham and Norman Trepanier.
