Ione A. White, age 92, of LCO, died Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Waters Edge Care Center in Hayward.

Ione Agnes was born November 14, 1924 in Whitefish, WI, the daughter of William and Ida (Grover) Quaderer. Ione was petite in stature, very loving, compassionate and strong. After she graduated from Flandreau Indian School, she moved to Eau Claire and then to Chicago where she worked at Sears and Roebuck and then Bureau of Indian Affairs. After leaving Chicago, Ione worked and retired from the LCO Schools. She was friend to many and many loved her spirit.

She is survived by her children Iva Rasmusson (Gregory), Julie Snow, Anne White, James White Sr. and Matthew White; 13 grandchildren, several great and great great grandchildren.Ione was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bert Sr.; sons David and Bert Jr.; daughter Lorraine Nickence; granddaughters Victoria Potack, Madison Quagon, Tiffany Bunker; brother William Quaderer Sr.; sisters Lorraine Bercier, Wilma Kelly and Irene Jacobs.

The funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward with Rev. Gordon Thayer officiating. Music was provided by Carol Sheehan. Burial was in Whitefish Cemetery. Visitation began at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, June 3 ^rd at the funeral home.

Honorary Casket Bearers were Ryan Bunker Jr., Bertha Christiansen, Alan "Bodie" LaRush, Andrew White, Christopher White, David White Jr,. James White Jr. and May White.

Casket bearers were Larry Bunker, Ryan Bunker Sr., Nenaangebi Gokey, David White Sr, Jacob White and Tony White Sr.
