James Allen O'Shogay, age 57, of Lac Courte Oreilles, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024.
Jimo was born October 2, 1966, in Hayward, WI the son of Ronnie Hodd and Donna Miller. He was an avid and very skilled carpenter and used his skills to help family and friends on projects that needed to be accomplished. Jimo was always surrounded by friends and loved to make them laugh, he always had a good story to tell and loved to share his stories with his sister. Jimo was very good at pool and was always asked to be on pool leagues. When he was younger, he tried to show his friends his ninja moves.
He will be missed by his brothers Steve O'Shogay & Mike O'Shogay; sister Vicki Oshogay; many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces & cousins; and his pool buddies.
Jimo was preceded in death by his mother Donna Davis; father Ronnie; grandparents Clifford & Marie Miller; nephew Kyle O'Shogay; many aunts & uncles.
Tribal Funeral Rites began at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Big Drum Ceremonial Center. Chato "Ombishkebines" Gonzalez officiated. Burial will be in Historyland Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Monday, February 26th at Big Drum Ceremonial Center.
Honorary casket bearers were Ryan Cooper, Michael Flechsig, Robert McClamey, Jim Miller, Rick Miller & Quentin Talamantes.
Casket Bearers were Derek Barber, Gary Belille, Wayne Blackdeer, Herbert "Buffalo" Clause & Dean "Dino" Johnson.
