Obituary

Janet Branum

Janet Branum, age 76 died Wednesday, July 8, 2026, in Hayward, WI.

Janet was born on November 16, 1949, in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, the daughter of Avery Burton and Margaret Orheim.

She attended and graduated from Flambeau High School in Tony, WI in 1967. Janet worked at Purolator Couriers for many years until moving to Hayward where she worked at St. Francis as an Aide. Janet worked at the LCO IGA for several years, then worked at the LCO Casino where she retired in 2016.

Janet is survived by her daughters: Dawn (Rick) Quaderer and Beckie Isham; stepsons: David (Cheryl) Isham and Mike Isham; brothers: Bill (Linda) Burton, Mickey (Mary) Burton, Jimmy (Dawn) Burton, and Danny (Mary) Burton; sisters: Kathy (Steve) Ottmann and Diane Burton-Nolan; many grandchildren and great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents Avery Burton and Margaret Orheim; 1st husband: David Isham; 2nd husband: Charles Branum; stepchildren: Marilyn Benton, Donna Isham, Kevin Isham and Kelly Isham.

Memorial Mass Service will be held at St. Francis Solanus Indian Mission in Reserve on Wednesday July 15, 2026, at 11:00 am Father Karun will officiate with Sister Felissa Zander, organist. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 – 10:30 am on Wednesday July 15th, at Pineview Funeral Service, prior to Mass at church.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Barb Isham, David Butler, Raelee Carley, Haylee Butler, Casandra Carley, Emma Revak, Savannah Quaderer, Ryley Quaderer and Leah Butler.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Aspen Acres for the compassionate and loving care they provided for Janet.
