Jerry R. Skye, age 62, of Turtle Lake, died Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Amery Medical Center.
Jerry Russell Skye was born June 28, 1953 in Hayward, WI, the son of George and Geneva (Stone) Skye. He grew up and attended school in Hayward and Minong. Jerry lived in St. Paul, MN for several years then moved to Turtle Lake where he worked for the St. Croix Casino.
He is survived by his brothers John, Robert, Roy, Ronnie and Barry Skye.
Jerry was preceded by his parents; sisters Marie, Dolores and Betty; brothers George Jr., William and Gary.
Tribal Funeral Rites will begin at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 10th at Big Drum Ceremonial Center in Lac Courte Oreilles with Lee Staples officiating. Burial will be in Historyland Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9th at Big Drum.
Honorary bearers will be Bill Merrill, Wynn Merrill, Tom Miller, Francis O'Conner, Duck White and Lewis White.
Casket bearers will be Derek Barber, Lonnie Barber, Rusty Barber, Jim Miller, Rick Miller and Robbie Miller.
