John J. Bracklin-Butler, age 36, of Hayward, WI died Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at his home.

John Joseph Bracklin-Butler was born July 1, 1984 in Rice Lake, WI, the son of Mainard and Debra (Bracklin) Butler. He attended Hayward community schools. John worked for various carpentry and landscaping companies.

He is survived by his parents Mainard & Debbie; son John Bracklin-Butler Jr.; daughters Anna and Aralynn Bracklin-Butler; girlfriend Latisha Lugo-Reyes; brother Moses Butler; sisters Kala Bracklin-Butler & Jordan D'Mario; nieces Khianna & Kieara; aunts Emily Oshogay, Joyce Butler & Audrey Potack; uncle Duane Butler; and great aunt Sylvia Bracklin.

John was preceded in death by his grandparents Joseph & Evelyn Butler and Jonathan Bracklin & Alma (Potack) Powers.

Tribal Funeral Rites were held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 13, 2020 at Big Drum Ceremonial Center in Lac Courte Oreilles. Chato "Ombishkebines" Gonzalez officiated. Burial was in Historyland Cemetery.

Honorary bearers were Duane Butler, Moses Butler, Dan Hart, Edwin Kakazu and Randy Miller.

Casket Bearers were Ryan Hart, Jeff Kakazu, Ed Potack, Ed "Sonny" Potack Jr., Jamie Stone and Lucas Wolf.
