John F. Chambers, age 75, of Couderay, died Thursday, February 11, 2016 at his home.

John Frigerio Chambers was born July 8, 1940 in Rome Italy, the son of Arthur and Antonietta (Liotti) Frigerio. Following the death of Arthur, Harrison Chambers adopted and raised him. John served in the US Navy and retired as a government USDA Inspector, and was also the president of his union. He loved being with his family and playing golf. John always brought a smile to your face and made every place a better place when he was around whether you knew him or not.

He is survived by his wife Catherine; sons John, Anthony and Arthur; daughters Helen and Annette; 13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother Roy Chambers.

John was preceded by his father Arthur Frigerio; mother Antonietta Chambers; step-father Harrison Chambers; brothers Jack and Charles.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in New Post with Father Gregory Hopefl officiating. Music will be provided by Sister Felissa Zander. Military Honors will be accorded by LCO AMVETS Post 1998. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 20th from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to Mass at the church. A luncheon will be served at New Post Elder Center after the service.
