Obituary

John E. Quaderer, 92, of Reserve, died Wednesday January 8, 2014 at Mellen Manor in Mellen, WI.

John Everett was born on August 31, 1921 in Reserve, the son of Thomas and Frances (O'Shogay) Quaderer. He grew up and attended school in Reserve. John was inducted in the US Army in 1942 and served active duty throughout Europe and North Africa during World War II. John was part of the 48th Engineer Battalion, and was one of seven survivors out of 28 of "The Lost Platoon". He was united in marriage to Virginia Belille on March 9, 1946 at St. Francis Solanus Indian Mission in Reserve, and they resided in LCO. John worked in forestry for several years, then worked for Walter Brothers Company until retiring in 1975.

He is survived by his sons David Quaderer, James (Andrea) Quaderer, Eric (Dawn) Quaderer, Dennis Quaderer; daughters Veronica Quaderer, Judith Quaderer, Joan Drift, Donna Bredow, Cheri (Clint) Quaderer; 31 grandchildren, 39 great granchildren, 7 great great grandchildren.

John was proceeded in death by his wife Virginia of 53 years; sons Carl, John Jr., John Tom, John Cash; daughters Gloria, Kathleen, Betty Jane; grandchildren Eric Hamilton, Gloria "Tiny" Price; brothers Vincent "Baggy", Ignatius "Doc", Joey, Tommy; sisters Veronica, Annie-Girl, Flavia, Isabelle.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2014 at St. Francis Solanus Indian Mission in Reserve. Fr. Gregory Hopefl will officiate and music will be provided by Sister Felissa Zander. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 12 at LCO Tribal Office.

Honorary casket bearers will be Arnie Anderson, Troy Birchfield, Robert "Bobtail" Coon, Jeff Crone, Myron Crone Sr., Steve Crone Sr., Larry Edwards, Carlee Hamilton, James Hamilton, Gina Price, Jeff Quaderer, Keith Quaderer, Kelly Quaderer, Kyra Quaderer, Ronnie Quaderer and Paul "Rink" Stevens.

Casket bearers will be Clint Price Sr., Clint Price Jr., Dusty Price, Dennis Quaderer Jr., Jeremy Quaderer, Kyle Quaderer.
