Joseph F. Fox Jr., 88, of Winter, formerly of Lake Bluff, IL, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the Queen of Angels in Radisson, WI

Joseph Francis was born on May 22, 1924 in Chicago, IL, the son of Joseph Sr. and Evelyn (Braunz) Fox. He grew up and graduated high school in Chicago, then enlisted and served in the US Army Air Force from 1943 – 1945. Joe continued his education and was a graduate of DePaul University in Chicago where he received his Law degree and CPA certification. On October 28, 1950 Joe was united in marriage to Margareta "Sally" Gary in Chicago. They resided in Lake Bluff, IL, and bought a cabin in Winter, WI in 1982 where they frequented and vacationed. Joe worked as a Lawyer and CPA with Wolf and Company in Chicago for many years, and later became a partner in Seldon and Fox Associates in Oak Brook, IL. He retired from accounting with his firm in 1993. Joe's wife preceded him in death in 1997, after which he moved to his Winter cabin permanently.

He is survived by sons Mike Fox of Winter, Paul (Sue) Fox of Tucson, AZ, Joe Fox of Fox Lake, IL, Mark (Diane) Fox of Ingleside, IL, "Sam" Stephen (Cathy) Fox of Virginia Beach, VA; daughter Deborah Fox; grandchildren Kelly, Tiffany and Seth.

Joe was proceeded in death by his wife Margareta "Sally", parents, and daughter Merry.

A Memorial Service and burial will be held at a later date at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL.
