Joseph "Joe Sam" S. Grover, age 43, of Reserve, WI, died Thursday, November 11, 2021 at his home.

Joseph Samuel Grover was born April 19, 1978 in Hayward, WI, the son of Joseph L Grover and Carol Smith. He grew up in New Post on the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation. Joe Sam worked as a security guard at the LCO Casino for many years. Joe Sam enjoyed playing pool, working on cars, and watching football.

He is survived by his parents Joe Post (Holly) Grover & Carol (Greg) Smith; his children Michael Dennis & Eileen Quagon and their mother Elaine Dennis, Joseph Grover Jr. & Priscilla Grover and their mother Kristen McNabb, Maegan Grover and her mother Alicia DeBrot; brothers Ernest (Raven) Sharlow Sr. & Russell (Crista) Brownrigg Sr.; sisters Tina Belille, Joleen (Bruno) Wemigwans, Pamelia (Joseph) Sharlow, Allie (Scott) Sharlow, Billie Jean Smith-Goldman, Alice Brownrigg & Rena (Eric) Brownrigg; grandparents Joseph & Janice Goldman; uncles Johnny Smith, Robert Blackdeer, Tyrone Blackdeer & Wayne Blackdeer, Leland Hall & Murl Grover Sr.; aunts Anita (Rusty) Corbine, Rose (Mitch) Sharlow & LaDon Cheek; many nieces & nephews.

Joe Sam was preceded in death by paternal grandmother Pricilla Marie Grover & niece Morgan Sharlow.

Tribal Funeral Service were held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at New Post Community Center. Ginnoonde officiated. Visitation began at 4:00 p.m. Monday, November 15 ^th at New Post Community Center.

Honorary casket bearers were Tina Belille, Alice Brownrigg, Rena Brownrigg, Russell Brownrigg Sr., Duane "D.J." Miller, Eileen Quagon, Allie Sharlow, Ernest Sharlow Sr., Pamelia Sharlow, Billie Jean Smith-Goldman & Joleen Wemigwans.

Casket bearers were be Michael Anderson, Red Coon, Derek "Dudez" Gokee, Scott LaBarge, Leroy Mustache & David White Sr.
