Joyce M. Hubbell left this world early in the morning Saturday, May 11th to be with her Lord. She left peacefully, surrounded by her children.
Joyce was born August 9, 1930 in Rockford, Illinois to Evar and Svea (Lindstrom) Glans. She graduated from Rockford East High School in 1948. On April 15, 1950 Joyce was united in marriage to Dale Hubbell in Rockford, Illinois. Joyce and Dale moved to Hayward in 1955 where they raised their family and lived out their lives.
Joyce was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She also deeply loved her Hayward Wesleyan Church family who cared for her after the tragic loss of her husband Dale. Most of all she loved her Lord Jesus and tried to reflect His love to everyone she encountered.
She is survived by her son Chris (Debbie) Hubbell of Eau Claire, daughters Julie (Tim) Anderson of Eau Claire, Jill (Allan) Covington of Baldwinsville, NY; grandchildren Matthew, Daniel and Thomas Hubbell, Elisabeth and Emilee Anderson, Chase (Angela) and Cole (Paige) Covington; great-grandchildren Madelyn, Davis, Cami and Sadie Covington, sister-in-law Joyce (Dick) Anderson; niece Pam (Greg) Kick and nephew Rick Anderson.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dale and grandson T.J. Hubbell.
A celebration of Joyce's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15th at the Hayward Wesleyan Church. Pastor Mark Wilson will officiate with music provided by Allan Covington, Tim Anderson and Linda Gerich. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Hayward Wesleyan Church Benevolence Fund, P.O. Box 507, Hayward.
