Judith Ann Hanke, age 78, of Loretta, WI, passed away Friday, May 12, 2023, at her home.

Judith was born October 5, 1944, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Charles Dorsey and Doris Macel (Hook) Leighton. She grew up and attended schools in Draper and Winter, graduating from Union High School in Rhinelander, WI in 1962. She married Robert Cook and had two daughters Cynthia Ann Cook and Lisa Marie Cook. Judith was united in her forever marriage to Gary Hanke, May 28, 1977, and had a daughter, Rebecca Colleen Morton. They will celebrate their 46 ^th wedding anniversary in their heavenly home. Judi worked in various occupations ending with 19 years at Pamida, retiring in 2008. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Draper Community Club, Draper Town Board, Draper Election Board and President of Calvary Lutheran Church Council.

She is survived by her daughters Cynthia Cook, Lisa Cook and Rebecca Morton; grandson Brandon Charles Burrow; three great grandchildren Sidnee Ann, Laila Marie & Brandon Charles Jr; brothers Charles Steven &Thomas Harvey Leighton.

Judi was preceded in death by her husband Gary; parents Charles & Doris; granddaughter Samantha; brothers James & Jack; and nephews Mark & Todd

The Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Draper. Pastor Gwen Downing officiated. Visitation was held from 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m., prior to the service at the church.
