Karen Marie Emery, age 59, of Chicago, IL, passed away Friday, August 1, 2025.

Karen was born January 24, 1966, in Chicago, the daughter of John "Jackie Day" Martin and Carmen Emery. She worked at Walgreens for over 15 years. Karen loved to play bingo, travel and spend time with her grandkids. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and was the beloved matriarch of her family. Karen was the anchor that held the family through life's storms and joys.

She is survived by her children Felicia Horne & Nicole Horne; grandchildren Christopher "CJ", Khloe', Cameron; brothers Corvin Emery, Jack Emery, Richard Emery & Dean Emery; sister Tara Belille; significant other Roger Graham; many nephews, nieces & cousins.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents John & Carmen; brothers Dwayne Belille & Leonard Belille; sister Paula Emery; and nephew Corvin Emery Jr.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 7, 2025, at St. Francis Solanus Indian Mission in Reserve. Father Karunakar Madanu will officiate with music provided by Sister Felissa Zander. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Reserve. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 6th at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward.

Honorary casket bearers will be Samantha Bradbury, Danielle Benson, Richard Emery, Dawn McGuire & Trina Starr,

Casket Bearers will be Johnathon Bradbury, Nicholas Bradbury, Corvin Emery, Dean Emery, Jack Emery, Roger Graham & Ed Potack.
